Steve Tobin is not just the frontman of Fatal Switch. He is its origin, its fire, and its relentless pulse. A Montreal-born vocalist, rapper, and songwriter, Steve founded the band in 2014 as more than a musical project; he built it as a lifeline. A place where fury, despair, and defiance could be transformed into something unshakable.

Steve’s artistic roots run deep. Trained in music, theatre, and performance, he began performing to large crowds at the age of 4 years old, even performing with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra before he was out of his teens. But it was his collision with heavy music and hip-hop that forged his identity: a frontman capable of growling, rapping, or singing with the same raw urgency.

With Fatal Switch, Steve carved that identity into an unstoppable force. Their debut Doctors & Demons set the stage, earning national video rotation, festival showcases, and over 133,000 streams. Their follow-up, Black Sky Anthem, produced by Kevin Jardine (Slaves on Dope, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach), takes the rebellion further, turning survival into spectacle. The band’s journey has included commissioned theme songs (Apex Wrestling), showcases at CMW and Indie Week, collaborations with Netflix’s Rhythm & Flow mentor King Los, and shared stages with Billboard chart-toppers Crazy Town.

For Steve, Fatal Switch is more than a band. It’s a revolution stitched together by screams, hooks, and heart. Black Sky Anthem is not just the next chapter; it’s the war cry.

    Drums

Montreal drummer Ralph Abou Samah has spent nearly three decades behind the kit, turning rhythm into artillery. Before joining Fatal Switch, he cut his teeth with the metal band Chainsaw Armageddon, recording a studio album and even sharing the stage with prog-metal heavyweights Periphery.

Since 2017, Ralph has been a driving force of Fatal Switch’s sound; a relentless mix of nu-metal aggression, rapcore energy, and post-hardcore release. With the band, he’s recorded Black Sky Anthem with producer Kevin Jardine (Korn, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit), appeared in Stingray Loud-rotated videos, and performed at festivals like Indie Week and CMW.

Beyond the music, Ralph is a creator in every sense: a songwriter, film enthusiast, and improviser whose artistic instincts bleed into his drumming. His mission is simple, to make every performance a release, for himself and for the fans who need it most.

    Max Rope

    Guitar

For Maxyme Rodrigue-Perron, guitar isn’t just an instrument , it’s a weapon and a canvas. The Quebec native sharpened his craft through private study under Vanier graduate/producer Adam Pietrykowski and online masterclasses before bringing his skills into the storm of Fatal Switch.

With the band, Maxyme has performed at showcases like Canadian Music Week and Indie Week, opened for Billboard hit-makers Crazy Town, and played iconic Montreal venues from Foufounes Électriques to Petit Campus. On record, he has worked alongside veteran producer Kevin Jardine (Korn, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit), contributing to Fatal Switch’s Black Sky Anthem.

His playing blends crushing riffs with cinematic flair, weaving in elements of sci-fi, storytelling, and raw emotion. It’s not just guitar work, it’s world-building in sound.

    Bass

For Fatal Switch bassist David Vigliotti, music has never been a hobby, it’s been a compass. Raised in Montreal, Vigliotti cut his teeth on both guitar and bass, building his reputation as a versatile composer and performer before becoming the sonic backbone of Fatal Switch.

With the band, he’s brought their chaotic blend of nu-metal and rapcore to stages like Indie Week and CMW, supported Billboard hit-makers Crazy Town, and contributed to videos streamed on Stingray Loud. His precision basslines anchor the emotional weight of Fatal Switch’s catalog, including the debut Doctors & Demons and their latest album Black Sky Anthem, produced by Kevin Jardine (Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach).

Beyond the stage, Vigliotti runs DV Guitar Tech, repairing and modifying guitars and basses for artists across Montreal. For him, music isn’t just performance , it’s craft, connection, and survival.
